Static Equipment Design Syllabus/Course content:-
1. Introduction to Static Equipments and International Design Codes:
Introduction to Static Equipments like Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Reactors and Tanks.
Roles & responsibilities of Static Equipment Engineer in Equipment design, Material selections, Procurement support, Fabrication & Construction support, Site/Field Engineering.
Preparation of Mechanical Design calculations for different Static Equipments in accordance with the guidelines provided in various International Design codes and Standards.
2. Design and Introduction of different elements:
Introduction to different types of Support like Saddle support, Leg support, Skirt support and Lug support.
Design and introduction of tailing lug and bracing.
Design and Introduction of Nozzles.
Introduction to ASME Sec VIII Div.1 and ASME Sec VII Div.2
Introduction to ASME Standards
Introduction to ASME Sec II A and ASME Sec II D
Introduction to TEMA
Introduction WRC 107 and WRC 297
Difference between Design code and Standards.
5. Role of an EPC engineer (static Equipment):
Interface with other dept. /branches of Engineering.
Preparation of Mechanical Data Sheet

Preparation of Design Basis-Static Equipments
Preparation of “Request For Quotation” (RFQ’s)
